2024 - Present
Staff Accountant at Forty5
After completing my undergraduate studies, I joined Forty5 as a Staff Accountant, contributing to the financial management of music venues like The Vogue Theatre and Rock the Ruins. I manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and support financial analysis to optimize bar operations. My role involves collaborating with operations teams to ensure financial efficiency, managing on-site technology for our outdoor venues, and supporting the finance team in creating bespoke reports to identify trends, solve problems, and seize new opportunities, all while supporting the live music experience.
2023 - 2024
Rock the Ruins Bar Operations
I oversaw the setup, teardown, and inventory management of eight bar stations, generating daily sales between $30,000 and $50,000. I delegated responsibilities to a team of barbacks, ensured efficient allocation of supplies, and maintained accurate inventory records in the system. My day began at 9 AM, coordinating beer deliveries and preparing each bar with necessary products, including non-alcoholic options. Throughout the event, I supported bartenders, managed ice distribution, and ensured product stock levels were maintained. At closing, I directed the breakdown and proper storage of all bar-related equipment.
2022 - 2024
Founder of Band Bus
Band Bus was an entrepreneurial venture aimed at transforming the charter bus industry by converting decommissioned school buses into affordable, comfortable touring vehicles for musicians. This approach allowed us to offer the most competitive rates in the U.S. by several hundred dollars per day. I started this business during my sophomore year at Butler University, creating a detailed business plan, pricing models, and a startup pitch deck. I pitched to potential investors and attended the NAMM conference in Anaheim, California. Despite initial success, including winning $500 in a pitch competition, I decided the business was too asset-heavy and not aligned with my core strengths.
2020 - 2024
Butler University
I graduated in August 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and an associate's degree in Music Industry Studies. My coursework included a wide range of subjects, such as supply chain management, accounting, finance, business law, publishing, and business plan development, which provided me with a solid foundation for my entrepreneurial pursuits.
